Welcome!

On behalf of the faculty and staff at the College of Education at Purdue University, welcome to our website and thank you for visiting.

The College of Education is one of the finest and most well respected colleges of education in the country. There are many reasons why you should consider pursuing a degree from our college.

We hope that as you visit our various undergraduate and graduate program areas you will find a goodness of fit with your career objective. We have a distinguished faculty and committed staff, our professional preparation programs are accredited nationally and within Indiana, and we value diversity and strive to integrate technology in the curriculum. At the undergraduate level, you will be engaged in supervised teaching experiences from the very beginning of your program. As you progress through your teacher preparation coursework, you will have opportunities to gain international experience through our summer programs in a variety of venues.

As a prospective graduate student, you will have the opportunity to study under faculty that excel in the areas of discovery, learning, and engagement. If qualified, you may have the opportunity to serve as a graduate teaching assistant, working closely with a faculty member to provide instruction to the undergraduate teacher education students. You also may have the opportunity to work with our faculty on an externally funded grant projects as a graduate research assistant.

The College of Education is pursuing many exciting discovery and engagement initiatives in science, technology, engineering, and math learning. Much of this exciting work is taking place in our centers, which are designed to conduct research and engage with our stakeholders, alumni, and friends in solving important problems in the field of education.
