The College of Education Office of Advising and Recruiting is staffed by professional counselors who are available to assist you academically and personally during your college years. You will have a conference with your counselor before registration each semester. In general, you and your counselor will discuss course selection for the following semester, choice of an area of academic concentration, and vocational possibilities.
In the course of your studies, you may encounter many situations governed by state laws and University regulations. Examples of such situations include meeting teacher licensure requirements, enrolling in courses at other institutions for transfer to Purdue, honors programs, admission to graduate schools, educational loans, etc. The academic counselor of the College of Education or the Office of the Dean of Students will be able to advise you in such situations or assist you in seeking appropriate and accurate information. You should seek such advice as early as possible after you enter Purdue and whenever the need arises during your undergraduate years. A thorough study of this College of Education Bulletin also is recommended, although it does not contain all University regulations and procedures. From time to time, you will be given notice of required actions (other than those listed in this bulletin) at your campus address or in the campus press.
Whether you are a prospective student or one already enrolled in the University, you are welcome to write to or visit the College of Education Office of Advising and Recruiting
