  SUPER sATURDAY pROGRAM DETAILS  

WHEN AND WHERE?

  • Spring 2010 semester courses will begin January 30 and end March 6. 
  • Sessions meet from 9 a.m. - Noon
  • All classes on held on the Purdue campus in West Lafayette.  Most are held in Beering Hall of Liberal Arts and Education.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

  • Tuition is $195.  Some classes have an additional supply fee of $5 or $10.  If the class has a supply fee, it will be listed in the course description.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR SUPER SATURDAY?

We no longer require eligibility documentation to be mailed to us for the Super Saturday program, however, to be successful in our high level courses we recommend that students have the majority of the following:

  • ­The ability to succeed in a course that is 2 to 4 grade levels above  the child’s actual grade level
  • ­ A high interest in the area in which the course is offered
  • ­ A desire to learn
  • ­ Scores at or above the 90th percentile in a major area of an  achievement test (total language, total math, total reading, or total science)
  • ­  An IQ score of 120 or above on an intelligence test
  • ­  Acceptance to a school corporation gifted program
  • ­  The recommendation of a teacher to participate in a program for high ability students
