·     Students who enroll in Block I during the fall semester are able to complete their field experience in Chicago Public Schools over fall break.

·     Students participate in a one day of cultural immersion in Chicago and spend two full days in the classroom. Gaining experience with students in an urban setting.

·     Purdue students work with students from racial, cultural, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds and have the opportunity to become familiarized with urban education.
