- In general on COE web servers, and for clarity, any references to the webmaster of a web site hosted on an COE web server should be to webmaster@education.purdue.edu. Specifically we would like to make the distinction between a webmaster and a web designer. We define a webmaster as one who has been authorized by COE leadership to maintain web servers and official College web sites, scan for appropriate content, and receive suggestions and complaints regarding web content and design. We define a web designer as one who designs/creates/maintains an individual web page or an individual web site.
- Commercially developed web pages.
- We will allow visibility for commercial web designers and companies providing that the commercial web designer does not: (1) give the appearance that the College of Education or Purdue Univ. as a whole endorses a particular commercial operation, or (2) give the impression that the COE webmaster is other than webmaster@education.purdue.edu, or (3) allow Purdue course materials to be copyrighted by entities other than Purdue University or Purdue faculty.
- A commercial web designer may place a single sentence at the very bottom of each web page using the following template:
This page designed/created/maintained by XYZ, Inc.

page,
All pages on this server copyright © Purdue University
