Taskstream Information for Evaluators (faculty, instructors, teaching assistants, university supervisors)
***Click here for Flash tours of the new TaskStream interface.
1. This is my first time using Taskstream, what should I do?
- Create your account. Purdue faculty and teaching assistants are eligible for free TaskStream subscriptions. To request your faculty and teaching assistant TaskStream subscription, please send email to edit@purdue.edu . Once you have your account, please contact edit@purdue.edu again to ensure you are enrolled into the right program as the evaluator.
- Send course roster. Please send your course roster to edit@purdue.edu so that all of your students can be verified that they are in the proper group. You may also request a Self-Enrollment Code to distribute to your students.
- Check with your TAs. If you have teaching assistants for your course, please ensure that all of your TAs have accounts and have logged into TaskStream. If the TA does not have an account, please have him or her email edit@purdue.edu and include their full name, and what course they will be teaching.
- Request Training if Necessary. Please feel free to contact Doc Vinh at edit@purdue.edu to request training. He may provide you with the overview of the system in 20 minutes. Many questions and issues, such as how to create the rubric, how to evaluate your students' work, how to provide course description, can be addressed.
- Request your students. Please ask your students to create their Taskstream accounts at the beginning of the semester. Therefore they may have more time to familiarize the system and verify their personal information.
2. How do I evaluate a student's artifact?

Click here to watch the video tutorial about how to evaluate a student's artifact.
3. Why does it look like I don't have any students?
In order for a student to appear in your roster in TaskStream, they have to associate themselves with you. They do this the first time that they submit an artifact to you. If the student has not submitted anything to you, you will not see them in your list.
4. A student that I have previously evaluated has disappeared from my list, how do I get them back?
By default, the "evaluation" list only shows students who have artifacts that need to be evaluated. To show all of your students, select the "Show All" before you look at the list.
5. How do I change an evaluation that I've already given to a student? How can a student change their work after it has been turned in to me?
In order to get control of the artifact back, either to you, or your student, send an email to edit@purdue.edu stating what assignment and what student needs to be released. They will then release the artifact and make it able to be modified again.
