Consumer Instant Messaging software such as: MS Messenger, AIM, Google IM, Skype

Skype (like many other consumer IM/Conferencing programs) collects information about their users and they use this information to specifically target you with ads, promotions, surveys, etc. This is a particular concern to Education IT and one of the reasons that we have chosen not to support Skype on our networks.
