Statement of Purpose

All programs require a 300 – 500 word essay describing your educational and career goals.  It is good to articulate how you think the program you are applying will help you obtain your goals.

Standardized Test Scores

English Proficiency

International degree-seeking applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit proof of English proficiency.
The Graduate School accepts the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic scores for admission. Note: If you have not done so already, request that ETS send your scores electronically to the Graduate School using the appropriate code.

Transcript Evaluation and Credential Review

All programs that lead to initial or an additional licensure in the state of Indiana need to have the Transcript Evaluation and Credential Review before the application is complete.  This process can take 4 – 6 weeks.  Please do this at the same time you submit your application.  Programs have varying deadlines,  please be sure to consult each programs deadline.

Standardized Test Scores

Online degree programs do not require standardized exams.   Many residential and hybrid graduate programs can require the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). If you have not done so already, request that ETS send your scores electronically to the Graduate School using the appropriate code for the campus to which you are applying. Please check with onlineadmissions@purdue.edu if you have questions.

Non-Refundable Application Fee
