Study Abroad Programs

Gain cultural understanding and skills while acquiring credit towards your degree by taking part in a study abroad program. The College of Education offers enriching and rewarding study abroad programs in Honduras, England, Ireland, India, Germany, Russia, and Tanzania (a few of those programs are detailed below). Collaborate with educators and students from these countries while immersed in their culture.

As an education major or teacher education student from other colleges, you are not restricted to these study abroad programs.  Depending on your course schedule and goals, you may be able to find an international program to better fit your goals through Purdue's Study Abroad Office which has more than 200 programs available, lasting from one week to one academic year. Academic credit earned will transfer toward your major, minor or general education requirements. Most programs do not require fluency in a foreign language, but many excellent foreign language programs are available. Supplement your classroom instruction with firsthand experience!
