To apply for the accomplished practitioner license

Submit to the Office of Professional Preparation and Licensure a license application, a Limited Criminal History Report, the proficient practitioner license, and a cashier’s check or money order in the amount of $35 payable to the State of Indiana.

At the time the Office of Professional Preparation and Licensure receives the license application, a postcard will be sent to you indicating that the packet is complete/incomplete and by what date the application will be sent to the Indiana Department of Education Office of Educator Licensing and Development with Purdue's recommendation. The Office of Professional Preparation and Licensure will verify that the requirements have been met.

When the license application is forwarded to the Indiana Department of Education Office of Educator Licensing and Development, a letter will be sent to you indicating the recommendation for an accomplished practitioner license. This letter can serve as an eligibility letter for a school corporation for employment purposes.

Expect 4-6 weeks for the Indiana Department of Education Office of Educator Licensing and Development to process your application. The license will be sent to you.
