Marcia Gentry awarded funds from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation

Marcia Gentry, director of GERI and professor of gifted, creative and talented studies, was awarded $50,000 from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation to study census data to determine the under-representation of low-income students from rural areas and elsewhere in gifted education programs. The Foundation is also continuing its support of scholarships for youth in need from the Navajo Nation, Standing Rock Reservation and Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe  to to attend GERI residential camps over the next two years for a total of $150,000.
