College of Education Holmes Scholars present research during AACTE Pre-Conference

Six College of Education doctoral students recently attended the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) Annual Meeting held March 4-6 in New Orleans. As part of the event, the Scholars presented their research during the AACTE Holmes Scholars Pre-Conference on March 3. The Pre-Conference is designed to give Scholars an opportunity to present their research and receive feedback in an open and supportive setting.

The AACTE Holmes Program supports students who self-identify as racially and ethnically diverse and are pursuing graduate degrees in education at AACTE member institutions. Founded in 1991 for doctoral students, the Holmes Program now provides mentorship, peer support, and professional development opportunities for graduate students.
