18 new staff members joined College in 2022

The College of Education welcomed 18 new or promoted staff members in 2022 who fill unique roles in Academic Services, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Studies, and Administration.

Academic Services welcomed Abraham Zaragoza, who serves as the Graduate Recruitment Coordinator; Abby Weiderhaft began first as the Program Assistant for the Office of Graduate Studies then was promoted to Graduate Studies Coordinator after Sean McCan left the College; Brittne Paramore is the new Director of the Office of Diversity Initiatives; and Amanda Goodwin Bowman serves as the Director of the Office of Graduate Studies.

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction (EDCI) hired new staff in the Indiana Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) initiative, with Anita Henderson-Johnson serving as Regional Director and Lynda Bodie-Fernandez serving as Project Assistant. Other EDCI new hires include Maddison (Maddie) Kintner as the Associate Administrative Assistant; Kristy Bennett as the Senior Administrative Assistant and Liaison to International Students and Scholars; Whitney Rippy as the Literacy and Language Development Clinic School Liaison; and Nicole Denicolo as an Instruction Specialist.

Brooke Gross joined the Department of Educational Studies (EDST) as an Administrative Assistant.

Administration welcomed a myriad of people to its Education Information Technology (EdIT) area, as Michael (Mike) P. Harrington and Theodore (Ted) Fondak joined EdIT User Services, Harrington as Coordinator and Fondak as Lead IT Technician. DeEtte Starr started as the Director of Communication and Pablo Moore is the new Associate Web Designer and Digital Media Specialist, both in the Office of Communications. Guanjun (Jessie) Zeng and Rosalba (Nathalie) Guerra Long joined as Education Data Systems & Report Analysts under Amber Reed, the new Director of the Office of Strategic Assessment and Accreditation.
