Office of Research, Graduate Programs and Faculty Development

The College of Education at Purdue University is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge through high quality interdisciplinary research that informs effective educational policies and programs, transforms learning environments and enhances human development. The Office of Research, Graduate Programs and Faculty Development provides infrastructure, mentoring and support for faculty members and graduate students to conduct research and develop both personally and professionally. The office also coordinates graduate education for the college to ensure graduate students receive high quality academic training, opportunities for engagement, professional development and the guidance needed to successfully complete their degree programs. Through these efforts, the College of Education seeks to be a global leader in culturally-responsive educational research and practice, benefiting the diverse citizens of Indiana, the United States, and the world.

This office provides support for and oversight of research, graduate programs and faculty development in the College of Education. The office serves as a liaison with the university’s Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships (EVPRP), and administers internal research grant and support programs. It serves as a liaison with the university’s Graduate School, administers support programs for graduate students in the college, and convenes the Graduate Studies Leadership Team. It also oversees faculty support programs, coordinates the faculty mentoring program, and handles faculty-related policies and procedures. The office serves as a liaison with the college Faculty Affairs Committee and Awards Committee.
