Program Accreditation

Purdue University is an accredited member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The School Counseling Master’s Program was approved in 2004 by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). In 2004 the Indiana Department of Education approved the program leading to Standard and Professional certification as School Counselors (K-12).

Initial accreditation of the School Counseling Program by CACREP was achieved in 1986; re-accreditation was consecutively received again in 1995, 2001, and in 2008. Currently, the School Counseling program is accredited through the period ending in 2018.
