Purdue’s College of Education offers two online masters degree programs and three online certificate programs to help you advance your knowledge and career. Our online programs provide access to our world-renowned faculty and top-quality academics in a convenient, flexible format.
Online students enjoy the same rigorous academic programs as on-campus students, but with a much more flexible class schedule. Assignments, discussions, and other coursework are posted each week in the virtual classroom.
If you evaluate, implement or teach curriculum, understanding how the new methodologies and proven theories surrounding social justice issues and K-12 STEM education relate to your role is now vital to student success. Through its research-based coursework, the online MS in Education in Curriculum and Instruction empowers you to use new curriculum information in your position to develop passionate learners.
Purdue’s online MSEd in Learning Design and Technology (LDT) provides you with effective strategies and techniques for educating students and training employees. This flexible online program puts you in the driver’s seat with real-world examples and brings you up to speed with the very latest instructional techniques aimed to inspire, excite and enlighten your students.
Purdue’s online MSEd in Special Education program combines a unique view of the entire education landscape with practical experience for teaching students with disabilities. In as little as 20 months, this program will give you the skills to plan and administer special education curriculum, facilitate a safe and effective classroom environment, and meet the needs of exceptional children who require highly-skilled educators.
The English Language Learning (ELL) licensure program prepares teachers to assist English language learners develop their English language and academic skills in K through grade 12. The Teaching English Language Learners K-12 Certificate (TELL) provides students who are currently enrolled in a doctoral or master’s program at Purdue University who have experience working with K-12 English Language Learners. The certificate does not constitute a teaching license, but posts to the student’s transcript as a separate area of work.
The GCT certificate is four online courses to build knowledge and skills to prepare you to work with high ability students in grades K-12. This is not a teaching license, but denoted on your transcript as a program of study. Certified Indiana educators who wish to earn the GCT Certificate are eligible for High Ability Licensure upon completion of the program.
The Educational Leadership Building Level Licensure Program uses a hybrid model of in-person and on-line coursework for students interested in earning administrative licensure. Graduates will be prepared to assume administrative roles in P-12 schools in Indiana. The program provides a strong emphasis on student learning environments, community collaboration and development, educational policy, and management of organizations from an educational and business perspective.
