ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The theme for the 2023 conference is “Advancing STEM with Students.” Presentations will include strategies to engage students around STEM academic standards. The conference will also include:

  • Over 50 presentations on STEM curriculum, STEM instruction, STEM careers, and STEM research
  • Networking with STEM education vendors
  • Professional Growth Points for teachers

Indiana Teacher of the Year

The 2023 conference includes Indiana Teacher of the Year Sharita Ware as the keynote speaker. Mrs. Ware is in her tenth year of teaching in the Tippecanoe School Corporation. At East Tipp Middle School, Mrs. Ware teaches Engineering and Technology Education to students, where she challenges them with real-world, problem-based design scenarios that will help them contribute to global technology. Mrs. Ware also hosts after-school programs including FIRST Lego League, The Monday Maker Hour, and March Maker Magic. The programs are designed to give students an outlet to be innovative and creative, as well as an opportunity to learn about important STEM concepts. Prior to teaching, she worked in the fields of engineering and marketing. She has received additional awards and recognitions, including being named as an Indiana Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellow in the STEM Goes Rural Program at Purdue University. Mrs. Ware will discuss her experience as an educator and her thoughts about encouraging students in STEM.

REGISTRATION FEES

Before December 16, 2022:
The cost for individual early registration is $90.

After December 16, 2022:
The cost for individual early registration is $110.

Interested in PRESENTING at the conference? Have a research poster or research brief to share? Submit your presentation and research proposals here! Proposals are due on October 21, 2022.
