Celebrating recent faculty promotions

We are excited to congratulate our newly promoted faculty members.

Eric Deemer was promoted to associate professor. A faculty member in the college’s counseling psychology program, Eric focuses on the areas of vocational development, achievement motivation and stereotype threat.

Brenda Capobianco was promoted to professor. Her research areas include science teachers’ engagement in action, young women’s participation in science, technology and engineering; the role teachers play in supporting young women’s participation in STEM; and issues of gender, culture and identity in science and engineering education.

Jennifer Richardson was promoted to professor. A member of the learning design and technology program, Jennifer focuses on the social aspects of online learning, best practices in distance learning, and gauging learning in online environments. She is also interested in integrating technology to improve learning at the K-12 and higher education levels.
