CLEAR has partnered with faculty at Purdue University, as well as with colleagues in K-12 schools to conduct research on various literacy topics. 

“Teaching Reading for Social Understanding”

This research project aims to explore the ways teachers and students engage in the Teaching Reading for Social Understanding (TRFSU) model to develop both theory about how reading fiction in grades K-8 influences both comprehension and empathy.
