Dr. Angela van Barneveld is a faculty member at Lakehead University in Ontario, Canada and has been part of the MScEd LDT program since it launched in 2011. The first graduating classes – Alphas and Betas – dubbed her Dr. Ang, and it has stuck. In addition to 20+ years in the private (IBM, Nortel) and government (federal) sectors in training and development/learning and performance, Angela also has several years of experience as an independent consultant, advising school boards, colleges, universities, health care organizations, and private companies in the areas of online learning strategy, design, and development. Dr. van Barneveld also sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Network for Innovation in Education, serving as the Director for Distance and Open Learning.
