Dr. Luke Bennett is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Learning Design and Technology at Purdue University. Luke holds an EdD with two specializations: Instructional Technology and Instructional Leadership/Curriculum Development, and an MA in Teaching. Luke has a strong background in course development, teaching, and program management/development in both K-12 and higher education. He has taught many graduate and undergraduate courses in online, blended, and face-to-face environments. Prior to arriving at Purdue, Luke held teaching and ID positions at Clemson University and the University of Central Florida respectively. Dr. Bennet has published and presented at the national and international levels. His research interests include management and pedagogy within emerging learning environments such as extended reality, mobile technologies, and online/blended learning environments. Luke became interested in instructional design and online education through his coursework and professional experiences. Through both, he realized the power and potential of well-designed online instruction to reach and educate students globally.
