Graduate Programs Continue to Rank Top in the Nation

Throughout our history, we have prepared thousands of teachers, administrators, counseling psychologists, and education professionals for challenging and rewarding careers in education. Because of our dedication to student success in our programs, Purdue University’s College of Education consistently ranks highly in accredited national and world university rankings like the U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges for our distinguished academic programs. U.S. News has various criteria that the graduate education programs undergo to get their score. According to the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings issued Tuesday, January 26, 2021, the College of Education has received even more accolades.

In the last year, our online master’s degree programs overall in the College of Education are now ranked #42 nationally, thus placing us in the top 13% of online master degree programs in the nation.  We have highly ranked individual online master’s degree programs, with #5 in educational/instructional media design, #10 in curriculum and instruction, #11 in special education, and #19 in educational administrative & supervision. Our online master degrees are also ranked #5  in the nation for veterans. These triumphs are not limited to online programs either. In 2021, the College of Education on-campus graduate education programs are ranked #50 nationally, thus placing us in the top 12% of Best Graduate Education Schools. Purdue’s academic programs continue to distinguish themselves among the world’s best universities, continuing to leave our mark with the persistent pursuit of the next giant leap.
