Grief support essential especially as individuals continue to experience grief at unprecedented rate

Dr. Heather Servaty-Seib, Professor of Counseling Psychology at Purdue University, is one of a team of experts researching the importance of grief support, especially as individuals continue to experience grief at an unprecedented rate. Dr. Servaty-Seib believes that prevention can be critical with regard to grief, which is one of the reasons she is currently facilitating a weekly online grief support and discussion group.

Dr. Servaty-Seib also serves as interim Associate Vice Provost of Teaching and Learning in the Office of the Provost and as the Associate Dean for Student Life in the Honors College, and she leads the University’s grief and loss research team.
