Helping our partner schools

We’re reimbursing our students the cost of a background check and substitute teaching permit.

In an effort to support our partner schools during COVID, the special education program will reimburse the cost of the background check and substitute teaching permit, requirements for substitute teaching, for at least 100 College of Education and Purdue teacher education students (graduate and undergraduate). This is intended to help minimize the cost for our students and add to the number of available substitute teachers for our partner schools.

If you are a College of Education undergraduate or graduate student or a Purdue teacher education student in another program across campus and would you like to substitute teach, complete this survey. We will be in touch with details. While we will assist as many as possible, numbers are limited so be sure to complete the survey at your earliest convenience.
