Undergraduate Students

Applying to the Teacher Education Program

Admission to the Teacher Education Program (TEP) is a distinct and unique admission process, separate from admission to Purdue University.

Application Deadlines

Students should plan to submit their TEP Application at the beginning of their second semester, sophomore year (students admitted prior to Fall 2021 will submit their TEP Application by the end of their sophomore year). Applications for admission to the Teacher Education Program are due by the following dates:

  • Prior to Fall Semester: July 1
  • Prior to Spring Semester: December 1

Program specific guidelines and requirements are included below for each individual licensure program. Program guidelines and requirements can vary from year to year. Students should view the licensure program for the semester and year they were admitted to Purdue University. If you have questions about your specific admission semester/year, check with your academic advisor, or the Office of Teacher Education and Licensure (OTEL).
