Mandy Rispoli, professor of special education, and Anne Traynor, associate professor of educational psychology and research methodology, have been selected for the University Faculty Scholars Program. The selection is a five-year appointment and includes an annual allocation of $10,000 to support the faculty member’s research.

The University Faculty Scholars Program, created in 1998, is intended to recognize outstanding mid-career faculty who are on an accelerated path for academic distinction. Eligibility includes faculty who hold the rank of tenured associate or full professor who have been in rank for no more than five years and new hires at this academic level if appointed with tenure.

Of the nearly 2,000 tenured/tenured-track faculty, only 120 are selected each year.
