Newton selected with highest teaching honor
Jill Newton, associate professor of mathematics education, has been selected as a 2020 Purdue University Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award winner (in memory of Charles B. Murphy). This is Purdue’s highest honor awarded for undergraduate teaching. Jill joins a select group of 12 esteemed colleagues from our college and 223 others from across campus to receive this honor since its inception in 1966.
Along with the accolades, the award also includes a cash prize of $10,000 and a $5,000 professional development allocation. She will be officially honored along with the other 2020 honorees next fall.
Congratulations to Dr. Newton for receiving this prestigious award!
