Purdue College of Education invites applicants for faculty positions in Special Education

Clinical Assistant Professor positions announced in Special Education and Special Education with specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis

The Department of Educational Studies at Purdue University invites applications for appointment to two non-tenure positions at the level of Clinical Assistant Professor in Special Education in the following areas:

These are 10-month, non-tenure positions with a starting date of August 2022.

About the Special Education Program: The Purdue University Special Education program combines a unique view of the entire education landscape with practical experience addressing the latest breakthroughs in assessment, instructional strategies, and evidence-based practices for teaching students with disabilities.  Special education teachers are in high demand in Indiana and across the country. In the College of Education, our undergraduates are prepared to adapt curriculum for students with disabilities, helping to meet the needs of all students in the classroom.

The Ph.D. program prepares scholars for leadership and faculty positions in higher education. The doctoral program is designed to prepare students to conduct rigorous scientific and applied research, to teach at the university level, and to become leaders who strive to improve educational and quality of life outcomes for individuals with special needs. About the Applied Behavior Analysis Program: The Purdue University Applied Behavior Analysis programs are housed within the Special Education program in the Department of Educational Studies. The program focuses on preparing students to: work with individuals with moderate to severe disabilities, including autism, across settings; work with individuals with and without disabilities who engage in challenging behavior and/or who are in need of increasing skills; consult with teachers and school systems to create positive behavior support systems; train parents; and collaborate with medical professionals. The program includes an online masters and certificate as well as an accelerated program that is offered face-to-face. The courses included in all of our applied behavior analysis degree options are verified by the Association for Behavior Analysis International® (5th Edition Task list).
