Students in a classroom

Early Field Experiences

Early field experiences bring you into the classroom as early as your freshman year. You’ll work with real students, network with teachers and principals and get comfortable in the classroom.

Student Teaching

More than half of our students choose to complete their student teaching in the Lafayette area, but if you’re interested in traveling to another part of the state, country or the world, there are many options available to you.

Purdue has partnerships with school corporations throughout Indiana, including Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, as well as Chicago Public Schools and Aldine School District in Houston, Texas. We offer international programs in Honduras and Germany.
