Our students are in demand and well-prepared. According to a survey by Purdue’s Center for Career Opportunities, more than 98 percent of our graduates were employed within six months after graduation.
Many students find jobs at Teacher Recruitment Day, which is held each spring and draws recruiters from across Indiana and across the country.
We also help students build their resumes and interview skills during our Teacher Candidate Professional Development Day in the spring.

Purdue's College of Education is top-notch and its students are very well-prepared. We try to recruit the best teachers, and that’s why we’re here. Purdue expands the minds of its students and expands their opportunities. I’ve found that Purdue’s teacher education grads have a genuine interest in wanting to go out and see what the world is like, and that’s really what we need. There is a need for great teachers everywhere, not just where you’re from. And if you have an open mind to make a difference in a kid’s life in a different city, we’d love for it to be Houston – but just go somewhere and do your craft. We see that a lot in great universities like Purdue that have a reputation for training great teachers to be open-minded.
