The Honduras Maymester study abroad program is designed for all education majors, and offers opportunities for non-majors as well. Participating students combine course work with a teaching field experience in a bilingual elementary school in Zamorano. Additionally, students engage in a service learning opportunity through teaching partnerships with two underfunded rural schools. The program ends with a visit to the Mayan ruins in Copán and the Caribbean coast.
Program dates: May 13 – 30, 2019
Program participants should attend the four pre-departure orientation meetings held prior to departure.
