You did it!

John Purdue wears a mask

John Purdue wears a mask to Protect Purdue.

The semester has come to an end and I want to recognize all of the perseverance that our students, faculty, and staff have displayed this semester. I am keenly aware that there was nothing easy about this semester, but you have taken each challenge in stride and finished the semester strong. We have some of the hardest working, dedicated people in our college and you all deserve the upcoming break. I hope you return ready to take on the spring semester and the new opportunities it holds. Enjoy your break and make the most of it, while keeping the Protect Purdue Pledge in mind.

I thank you all for your dedication to the Protect Purdue Pledge, making our university one of the few that made it the entire semester. Many observers thought we wouldn’t be able to do it, yet here we are. It is because of you that we were able to continue in person classes and field experiences.

However, remember that just because we are going on break doesn’t mean that we stop our hard work now. We must continue to follow the Protect Purdue Pledge even while we are not on campus. I have seen how you respond to extraordinary circumstances and I know we will get through future challenges together.

I hope you all have a safe, relaxing, and peaceful holiday break. Stay safe and be well!

Boiler up!
